Feature Friday: BABIES BY BEE

Happy Friday! Today, I am especially excited because we are doing our VERY FIRST SHOP FEATURE! And, honestly, I'm thrilled that THIS shop is our first feature. It's only fitting that Babies By Bee be first because, well, this was the very first shop I ordered from! Its thanks to Bridget and BBB that I even started discovering this whole new world of shopping for my son...

Excuse the terrible picture quality but this was the very first thing I ordered from IG for my son. Cam was sooooo witttlllleeeee <3 We seriously got SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on his little scarf and leggings! These are packed up in storage, waiting for baby #2!

I was SO thrilled when Bridget agreed to let me "feature" Babies By Bee! I was super excited to get to know her and her brand a little bit better..and I'm excited to have you guys get to know her a little bit better too!! I asked Bridget, A mama of (soon-to-be) two a few questions...

1 How did you come up with your brand/shop name? 

What's funny is that my husband actually came up with our logo before we even had our brand name. Being obsessed with triangles I naturally thought it looked AWESOME and "Babies By Bee" happened to fit perfectly with our logo!! 

2 How long have you been in business?

I want to say that officially as of April 2014!!

3 What’s your favorite thing about being an entrepreneur? 

I really, really, REALLY love what I do and feel so blessed that I can stay at home and be a full time mommy, meanwhile running a full time business! It's truly such a huge blessing for our little family!!

4 What was the first item that you created and sold?

 Hahaha, I believe it was a bibdana/ bandana bib. Never in a million years did I think I would ever be able to make anything else besides that!!

5 What is your favorite item in your shop right now?

 Ahhhhh, this is a tough one.... I would have to say our •Cross is Love• tees!! Being a Christian I've always loved the idea of being able to share gods good word one way or another, and what better way than on children apparel. That and it's our first T-Shirt design ever and my hubby came up with it, so it's kinda special to me😊

6 Where do you draw your inspiration from? 

Our baby boy Eli. He honestly is my drive for this and the main reason why •Babies By Bee• is even around! I love creating designs for him to wear and just making things for him that match his playful and wild yet loving personality!!  

7 What are some of your favorite shops?

 Gaww, there are so so many good ones out there with SO much Talent but to name a few I would have to say Heart of Gold Apparel, Whistle&Flute, Bits Of Love ByK, and StoriesForAutumn

8 Any advice for someone wanting to start their own business? 

P A T I E N C E & Perseverance. Sometimes these things take time but if you fully commit your heart to it, YOU WILL SUCCEED!!

9 If you were stranded on a desert island, what are 3 things you couldn’t live without?

Does Dr. Pepper count as a thing...yeah, right?!? So DP, My husband and My child....in that exact order lol ( okay maybe not in that EXACT order but, same thing!) 

10 Share a fun fact about you! 

Uggghhhhh, I'm such a boring person...lol I don't even think this is really a "FUN" fact per say however, aside from this shop I'm very passionate about Dance ( Ballet,Modern, Jazz...you name it) God knows how much a miss and love it!!! One day I'll hit those Ballet bars again, one daaaay!!! (It's been years and I'll be a hot mess..but whatever)✌️

MONDAY 3/23- 2 Scoops of Humor

 

DOPE!

When I saw this shirt on my IG feed, I knew i had to have it for Cameron. I meant to order it in the "mommy" version, but my mom brain got the best of me. And to be quite frank, Daddy is SO much more dope than mommy ever will be, so it works! I paired it with the cutest scarf EVER and a pair of my favorite trousers from Zara. Actually, I don't think I can say favorite..I love them all!

 

The black font on the black shirt from Ozzie+Olive is perfection! And the caption..My Daddy is DOPE! (no truer words have been spoken, er, printed?)

And in case you haven't noticed, i LOVE mixing patterns! So, when I put Cam in the trousers and tee, I knew something was missing! I didn't want to put a hat or beanie on him because he was actually having a good hair day, lol, so I pulled out this awesome infinity scarf from Radical Kid Co. I  love the plaid. I love the mustard. It all just works!

And as far as Cam was concerned..well...he was just excited to play with the sticks!

No naps!

Not sure what boat you are in but let me give you a little taste of what were dealing with here:
8 month old baby getting ready to have 2 top teeth cut through, with a cold...congested, fever, sneezing, sniffle-ing, coughing...the works! PLUS we are moving so there's lots of commotion going on which means only one thing. My adorable little baby has become a little nap rebel! He literally REFUSES to nap. IF he does nap it lasts 10 minutes. MAX.

An.
Understatement!

 Out of control cuteness. Maybe I should buy this for Cameron. That way, he still looks super cute even when he's screaming his head of from tired-ness. Yes, a romper can make it all better. Maybe.

Monochrome Love

Monochrome is SO TRENDY right now! I know I love it, especially on Cam. His wardrobe is primarily black, white and gray but we do have some bright and fun pieces too. So North West of us, I know! Haha! But honestly, I love it because we have so many options for wardrobe because everything matches everything. Here's a perfect example of a monochromatic look for the summer time..

 These shorts that he is wearing are called BUMMIES and the company that makes them is so bad ass! They have theee absolute cutest clothes. I bought these when I first found out that I was pregnant, so they are from last season BUT I think they were so popular, she brought them back this year! You can buy them here!

 Do you just die for chunky baby thighs?? I sure do! I remember when I got these (and 3 other pairs) in the mail, I couldn't wait to see what my lil guy would look like wearing them! And I've got to say...It's SO MUCH BETTER than I anticipated! PS-This beanie is from Little Adi too!! LOVE!!!

Today, we were able to go outside and enjoy some sunshine! It actually rained yesterday. A LOT! So we were stuck inside and went a bit stir crazy! We were BOTH glad to be outside for a bit!

I love this shirt so much that I bought it in 2 colors and sizes! I love how the caption is aligned to the left of the shirt! So simple but so BOLD! PS-Don't mind all of that drool. We're waiting for some teeth to cut through soon!

 

And by the way..who says boys can't wear animal print? This leopard print camper hat from Slyfox Threads is SO fresh! And I love that he can wear it for YEARS! It's adjustable! SO cute!
